First close-up video of Mashco-Piro tribe in Peru [Video]



In a world where communication across the world happens in seconds rather than months, it’s hard to believe any group of people remains outside the scope of modern society.

Recently, though, Peru’s Mashco-Piro tribe attempted to reach out from their Amazonian home despite violent resistance in the past.

This unexpected invitation prompted New Scientist to answer the question of how many groups of uncontacted people still exist.
